Take a moment and reflect on the last time that you saw something on a social network that pissed you off. This could happen daily (hourly…). Sometimes it’s a good kind of pissed off:

“Argh…that article really fires me up, I am going to tweet my senator about it.”

April is a time of change, growth, renewal.

As we watch the trial happenings in Steubenville, Ohio this week, I’m stuck on the role that social media played in this case.

Are you rising today? Are you joining the 1 Billion? Typically, Valentine’s Day festivities make me a little nauseous. I’m a big fan of V-day--don’t get me wrong!

While I have mixed feelings about saying this, it’s been a big year for sexual violence in the media so far. Following a year of sexual abuse blowing sports culture out of the water, we’ve started off 2013 with protests over the Delhi Gang Rape and national outcry over the happenings in a football town in Ohio.

This year is a kind of a big deal for community based sexual violence programs. Several of the nation’s oldest centers are celebrating their 40th Anniversaries.

A few weeks ago I attended the Healthy Masculinity Summit in Washington DC. A hardy group of about 200 people gathered to have conversations about masculinity.
