The International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) has decreed the week of November 9-13 as Forensic Nurses Week. Forensic Nurses are on the front line making sure victims of rape, child abuse and domestic violence receive compassionate care, while vital forensic evidence is collected and preserved. IAFN invites you to join the association and colleagues who will celebrate this annual event by offering forensic nurses the recognition and praise they deserve!
Forensic nurses play such a vital role to those affected by violence not only by collecting important evidence that can be used in court, but also by offering patients compassion and emotional support after traumatic events. To get started on festivities to honor your favorite forensic nurses, visit IAFN's website where a promotional packet, sample press release, sample tweet, and ideas to help celebrate are available.
On Friday, November 13, 2009, IAFN says WEAR LILAC in honor of this special week!
