Sacred Circle National Resource Center to End Violence Against Native Women
Ending Violence Against Native Women Training Institute will be held at the Grand Gateway Hotel in Rapid City, SD from August 23-27, 2010.
The Institute provides a strong foundation for advocates and allies to work effectively with their own programs and within a coordinated response. The Institute begins the first day with a plenary session to build a foundation of understanding the dynamics of violence against native women. The last four days attendees will go to one of the five workshops offered and closing ceremony.
The five workshops include: Role of Advocates, Role of Batterers' Program, Role of Coordinated Community Response, Sexual Violence in the Lives of Native Women, and Women Who Use Force.
