The FCADV Statewide Annual Training Institute committee invites proposals for workshops for its 2009 Annual Training Institute. The workshops should address cultural competency, diversity, anti-oppression, and related issues. Workshops focusing on culturally informed advocacy, services, and interactions with communities of color, the elderly, differently-abled, LBGTQ population, immigrants and refugees, trafficking victims, runaway and homeless youth and other marginalized populations are invited.
This year’s institute will include a sexual violence track sponsored by the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence. Submission of workshop proposals addressing culturally-specific outreach to/and or interventions with survivors of sexual violence are strongly encouraged.
The deadline for submissions will be November 1, 2008 and completed proposals should be sent to email@example.com . If you have any other questions please contact Director of Training at 850-425-2749.
