Course Objectives:
-Recall five obstacles that prevent us from ending child abuse.
-Identify changes taking place in child protection system that will reduce and perhaps eliminate child abuse over the course of the next three generations.
-Analyze the sexual offender's thinking and behavior and their relationships with their victims.
-Distinguish the subtle manipulations and overt deception techniques of the offender.
-Examine personal and social standards, biases, and values that may assist or facilitate sexual assault.
-Describe the expanding role of forensic nurses in mass disaster.
-Identify differences regarding nurse's adaptation to disaster triage, care in the hospital setting and educational requirements.
-Explain the deployment of personnel and material, the logistics and the operations required during a Mass Fatality Incident(MFI).
-Review past challenges to anticipate the complications and obstacles inherent in a projected model of a pandemic (MFI).
