Technology Safety Training
One day training on the ever changing world of technology and how it affects survivor safety. This interactive training will introduce advocates to the risks and benefits of technology to victims and survivors as well as how to safety plan around technology. The presenter, Elizabeth Edmondson works with a national group of “tech advocates” formed by the Safety Net Project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence. This workshop is constantly evolving based on the “tech advocates” trainings and suggestions from advocates like you! Attend this workshop to learn and share your experiences with technology and safety. If you have a wireless enabled laptop, feel free to bring it to this training!
This training will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Tennessee State University (TSU) Avon Williams Campus 330 10th Avenue North, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37203. A parking pass is required for the TSU parking lot, and when you register we will send a parking pass to you.
The cost of the training is $50 for members and $75 for non-members and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and all training materials.
