Program Evaluation 101 Webinar

Date/Time:
08/24/2011 - 2:00pm
Description:

Are you new to program evaluation and want to learn more?  Is your program asking you to be the evaluator, but you don't know where to start?  Or are you needing to sell evaluation to your program and need some effective talking points?  This presentation will provide an overview of program evaluation for participants new to program evaluation.  The session will be organized around the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) six-step Framwork for Program Evaluation in Public Health as well as the four sets of evalutaion standards from the Joint Commission on Evaluation Standards.  The six steps constitute a comprehensive approach to evaluation.  While its origins are in the public health sector, the Framework approach can guide any evaluation.  The webinar will touch on all six steps, but particular emphasis will be put on the early steps, including identification and engagement of stakeholders, creation of logic models, and selecting/focusing evaluation questions.  Examples from diverse public health topics will be used to illustrate key points, and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during and after the presentation.

This is the seventh webinar in the 2011 Collaborative Space series and it will focus on program evaluation strategies.  The webinar will be held on the Collaborative Space, Weenesday, August 24, 2:00 - 3:00 pm EST.  To access the webinar dial 1-877-937-9818 and use the passcode 7551384 for audio.  We look forward to having you join us!
