Description
Prevention Pathways, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)
Each year, more than 500,000 non-fatal violent crimes are committed against women. These crimes include sexual assault, rape, intimate partner violence, and elder abuse. Many of these crimes involve the use of alcohol or other drugs. The course describes these "hidden problems" and identifies risk factors, screening and assessment tools, prevention and intervention strategies, tools for clients, and legal issues.
