The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) in the U.S. Department of Justice sponsors the National Victim Assistance Academy (NVAA). The NVAA is comprised of education and skill-based classroom trainings for those who assist victims and survivors of crime in the United States, including the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, and any other territory or possession of the United States. While international applicants may apply to attend the Academy, please note that the training is not designed to meet the needs of the specific target populations who live outside of the United States. If accepted to attend, international applicants must cover all expenses involved and are responsible to obtain the appropriate documents necessary for travel to and within the United States.

This class will include videos, hands on techniques & valuable information on date rape drugs and how to be more aware of your surroundings. You will be put in the worse positions & taught how to escape them. You will be able to use the techniques on a mock "bad guy". This will ensure you are doing the techniques correctly, create confidence & better prepare you mentally if ever attacked. It's best to practice in a safe environment, not walk around "without" a plan! Limited space ! You must pre-register.
