Alexandria, VA (Jun. 23, 2015) – Key nonprofits, faith-based groups and government leaders met today at United Way Worldwide for the opening of its United Way Center on Human Trafficking & Slavery. The Center aims to combat the complex problem of modern slavery by gathering key partners to create and implement solutions to stop the $150 billion industry.

The Department of Defense announced today that Maj. Gen. Camille M. Nichols will assume duties as director of the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office effective June 8. The current director, Maj. Gen. Jeffrey J. Snow, was selected as commander, U.S. Army Recruiting Command at Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
