Public Health Law Research: Making the Case for Laws That Improve Health(PHLR) is a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation seeking studies that investigate specific mechanisms through which a new legal intervention or an existing law or enforcement strategy impacts physical or mental health. The program is particularly interested in proposals that use sophisticated research design and analysis of existing datasets that can provide insight on the effects of laws and legal practices over time and across jurisdictions.
