Description: 

The Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator is a fulltime position with benefits. The Training & Technical Assistance Coordinator reports to CONNSACS’ Director of Prevention & Programs.  This job requires extensive in state travel.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and serve as the lead trainer for CONNSACS’ workshops, trainings, and conferences to health care providers, police cadets, other state agency professionals, and community partners regarding best practices and emerging trends in sexual violence prevention and intervention.\
  • Develop and implement curricula, workshops, and media materials that address sexual violence.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordinate prevention meetings for CONNSACS’ member programs.
  • Work with the Director of Prevention & Programs to develop and implement a training series for both CONNSACS’ member programs and community partners.
  • Coordinate CONNSACS’ training calendars for CONNSACS’ member programs and community partners.
  • Coordinate the Connecticut College Consortium Against Sexual Assault.
  • Research and write fact sheets or materials that address sexual violence prevention and intervention, best practices, and other topics as assigned.
  • Represent CONNSACS on state, communitybased, or national committees or at meetings as assigned.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned by the Director of Prevention & Programs.
Qualifications: 
Qualifications and Skills Preferred ● BA/BS degree in related field or three years of full‐time related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ● Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to women's issues, particularly violence against women issues. ● Demonstrated knowledge and leadership in primary prevention initiatives. ● Experience in event planning and public speaking. ● Exceptional writing skills. ● Experience in training curriculum development, training adults, and group facilitation. ● Experience with sexual violence service delivery system and social advocacy. ● Demonstrated knowledge of the concepts of public health. ● Demonstrated knowledge of program evaluation methods and procedures. ● Ability to interpret and respond to complex situations and provide clear, concise and timely solutions. ● Demonstrated knowledge of PowerPoint. ● Computer literacy. ● Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation ● Ability to work some nights and weekends as required
