The National Crime Symposium [1], hosted by the Institute for Social Justice, will take place from February 25 to March 1, 2013, in New Orleans, LA. Cosponsored by the National African American Drug Policy Coalition [2] and the Success Institute of America, the symposium will focus on building trust between members of the justice system and the communities they serve. Topics [3] include community policing, reentry, gangs, restorative justice, mental health, hate crimes, substance abuse, and bullying. Melodee Hanes, Acting Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention [4], will deliver a keynote address on February 28.
