This resource from the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault, a 17-page synthesis of root causes theories with a full bibliography, describes each of the two major sexual assault theory areas and gives 2-3 paragraph explanations of each theory under the two categories. This will be helpful to people attempting to understand the state of current (and past) research on the root causes of sexual assault.

The Rural Health People 2010 provides an overview of research and accompanying models for practice on 5 new focus areas and includes detailed literature reviews for each. The Sexual Assault Resource Service in Minneapolis, Minnesota, developed the guide using expertise and lessons learned from existing SANE programs throughout the country.
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Development and Operation Guide

This handbook was developed by the Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force. It is designed to assist SARTs in varying degrees of development. It provides recommended practices for responders, information on victim-centered and offender-focused response, as well as sample protocols, policies and resources in Oregon.
