This research brief explores the
prevalence of sexual violence against individuals and communities who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ). Studies between 2006 and 2011 are covered and examine sexual violence against victims who identify as LGBTQ in the form of hate or bias-motivated crimes, intimate partner violence, childhood sexual abuse, and adult sexual assault.
