The goal of this resource is to provide clear, consistent and straightforward guidance on the essential minimum, core content for sexuality education that is age-appropriate for students in grades K–12. The Standards are presented both by topic area and by grade level.

This special collection brings together selected materials related to preventing and responding to elder abuse, specifically domestic and sexual violence. In doing so, it draws from the work of the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL), National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC), National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) and other organizations. By focusing specifically on domestic and sexual violence (DV/SV) in later life, this special collection highlights the complexities of older people's DV/SV experiences and emphasizes collaborative and multi-pronged approaches to addressing DV/SV in later life.   

This special collection emphasizes collaborative and multi-level approaches to the prevention of and response to teen dating violence.  It provides general introductory information about teen dating violence.  Additionally, there are specific sections focusing on and for young people, parents and care takers, men and boys, teachers and school-based professionals, health care professionals, and domestic violence and sexual violence service providers. Documents related laws and legislation are also included. The special collection concludes with examples of national programs and lists national organizational resources.

We are still learning about those who sexually abuse. We are also continuing to learn about the most effective ways to assess, treat, and manage those who sexually abuse. The vast majority of sex offenders return to our communities. Even though there is no single way to completely eliminate the risk of sexual re-offense, a comprehensive and collaborative approach to sex offender management can go a long way to manage offenders' behaviors and ensure their safe integration within communities. This special collection provides resources that address the topics of sex offender risk, assessment, management, treatment, and supervision. In addition, there is a special focus on the policies that have been created in the past decade to help keep our communities safer.

Resources Addressing the Perpetration of Sexual Violence

This Special Collection addresses sexual violence against military service members, defines Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and offers resources (including information on current policy, procedures, legislation, and litigation) to support the prevention of and response to sexual violence as it impacts service members and veterans in the United States.

This VAWnet special collection focuses on the use of technology as it impacts and intersects with violence against women and children. This categorized and annotated listing of selected articles, fact sheets, papers, reports, websites, and other materials is offered as an additional tool to assist advocates working on and interested in the safe use of technology. This resource was developed in collaboration with SafetyNet: the National Safe & Strategic Technology Project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, and the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence.

The Minnesota Summit to Prevent Sexual Violence E-Report

This VAWnet resource page provides access to various training descriptions, materials and tools that may be useful in sexual violence prevention and education activities. Resources highlighted range from field-specific professional development trainings to materials for use in training-the-trainers. In particular, it highlights curricula promoting the competency of such first responders as rape crisis program staff and volunteers, law enforcement, forensic teams, health care providers, and others. As possible, descriptions note any stated primary goals and purposes, settings and audiences, possible adaptations to other contexts, and any components that have been evaluated.
