There are four bands performing at the event, and the event is being held at a local restaurant/bar so there will be food and drinks available! The money raised from this event will be used toward creating support groups and expanding programs and services offered to survivors at Pueblo Rape Crisis Services.

The Capitol Rally takes place on the west steps of the capitol building in Denver each year on the National Day of Action to End Sexual Violence. This event allows CCASA member agencies, partners and community members to come together to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month, to honor survivors in our state, and to thank legislators who have worked to improve our laws. The agenda will include survivor speakers, awards ceremony, and performance skits by a teen theater group. Food carts will be in the area so you can get lunch and join us for the rally!

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is pleased to present this targeted technical assistance project to strengthen the Office on Violence Against Women’s (OVW) sustainability efforts regarding Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Programs. The Responding to Crime Victims with Disabilities National Training Conference is scheduled for September 30-October 2, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. Content tracks for the conference include foundations, individual responses, systems and community responses, and innovative collaborative efforts.
The National Professional Training Conference on Responding to Crime Victims with Disabilities will serve to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of providers to better serve people with disabilities who are victims of crime, abuse, and neglect. The conference will facilitate partnerships among the fields of victim assistance, advocacy for persons with disabilities, and allied professions for conference participation.
