Join us in strengthening the 3rd Annual Philly TBTN!!!!
 
Calling all communities to unite and take a stand against domestic and sexual violence! 
--March to take back the streets starting at one of four locations heading to the First Unitarian Church.
--Speak out and breaking the silence; storytelling and sharing about living with and surviving violence, abuse, and oppression. 
--A candlelight vigil to remember those still fighting, those lost to violence, and those surviving. 
 
Marches starting at all 4 locations at 5:45 pm Sharp:
North: 22nd and Spring Garden Streets
South: 21st and Washington Avenue
East: 13th and Locust Streets
West: 34th and Chestnut Streets
 
Shatter the silence. Stop the violence.
 
The speak out is open to men and women, straight or GLBTQ who are survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence; and their allies. This event is to be a safer place for those who need to speak about their experiences so they are not silent and not feeling alone.

Low income levels, occupational and agricultural hazards, and an unfamiliarity with the American healthcare system are just some of the difficulties these workers face. The Rural Migrant and Immigrant Farmworker Health Conference, a two-day conference for agricultural producers, healthcare providers, advocates, educators and policy makers who work or interact with migrant and immigrant farmworkers, will provide important information on agricultural and community health and safety issues, as well as effective health and safety programs for migrant and immigrant farmworkers and their families.This is an excellent opportunity to network and improve your understanding of the issues affecting these vulnerable populations. If you are an adolescent age 12-19 with a mental health concern, a caregiver for such an adolescent, or a mental health provider, please join us for this workshop!The third in a series of four community workshops, this event will feature presentations by Dr. Sybil Knight-Burney, superintendent of the Harrisburg School District, and Mark Heinly, M.D., child and adolescent psychiatrist, who will address the question facing the parents of many adolescents: are these behaviors part of adolescence, or is my child exhibiting symptoms of a mental health issue? The evening will also include a presentation and exercise on how to build your own mental health “toolbox” by Ruth Hope Woodlen, executive director of the Mental Health Association of the Capital Region.Seating is limited.  RSVP by September 26 and include attendee names, phone number, and e-mail.
