NSVRC STATEMENT: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Vandenburg, Batey found guilty in Vanderbilt rape case
NASHVILLE –A jury found two former Vanderbilt football players guilty of raping an unconscious female student in a college dorm room during June 2013. Brandon Vandenburg, 21, faced nine counts, while Cory Batey, 21, faced seven counts. Both men were found guilty on all charges and will be sentenced on March 6. This was the first trial in this case. Two other defendants are awaiting trial.
