Colorado: Language Access

According to census data, about 16.3% (951,908 people) exclusively speak a language other than English at home. 5.7% of people (316,000 people) are Limited English Proficiency (LEP). About 2.1% (69,635 people) are classified as having a hearing disability According to the CDC, more than 100,000 people identify as being blind or having a severe difficulty seeing even with glasses. 9.7% of the population lives below the poverty level and 9.9% of adults are classified as illiterate.
