Advancing our Movement in the Development of Latin@ Leadership

This article is the English translation of an article written by Kimber J. Nicoletti-Martinez for The Resource. Over the past several years, there has been much talk about leadership among Latin@s in the sexual violence prevention movement. In a critical conversation conducted at the 2011 National Sexual Assault Conference in Baltimore, participants were asked to describe characteristics of a Latin@ leader. This article captures that conversation.

In 2009, NSVRC contracted with Dr. Stephanie Townsend to assist in developing a plan to measure the primary prevention capacity of the sexual violence prevention field.  This is a three-year process being conducted in collaboration with the CDC and CALCASA/Prevention Connection.
