As Nevada’s statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, Silver State Equality brings the voices of LGBTQ+ people and allies to institutions of power in Nevada and across the United States, striving to create a world that is healthy, just and fully equal for all LGBTQ+ people.

Silver State Equality is a Nevada-based program affiliated with and supported by Equality California and Equality California Institute, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization.

The Nevada CARES [Consent. Awareness. Relationships. Education for Students] project is based at the University of Nevada, Reno’s (UNR) Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT).  The project focuses on developing and expanding outreach and education on interpersonal violence to students, faculty and staff across the UNR campus.

Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (formerly Nevada Network Against Domestic Violence)  provides statewide advocacy, education and support of the front-line organizations that help those impacted by domestic and sexual violence. We are here to support Nevada’s direct-service organizations that help serve victims of domestic and sexual violence and their families.

SESAME (Stop Educator Sexual Abuse, Misconduct and Exploitation) works as a voice for the prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment of students by teachers and other school staff. This national organization increases public awareness, fosters recovery of victims and survivors, and promotes effective policies and legislation.
