Emergency Contraception (EC) provides a last chance to prevent an unintended pregnancy after unprotected sex and is an important option for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. This factsheet was created by the American Society for Emergency Contraception (ASEC), NSVRC, and Futures Without Violence to help advocates understand why it is crucial for them to know about EC and ensure all survivors of sexual and domestic violence are given accurate information and timely access.
