SPARTA is a group of transgender people who currently serve or have served in the military. SPART*A is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization not affiliated with the Department of Defense. Membership is open to transgender (to include non-binary and gender-nonconforming) individuals currently serving in the United States Armed Forces. We also offer smaller groups for families of transgender service members, veterans, and allies.

The Sylvia Rivera Law Project works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence.

The Tennessee Equality Project advocates for the equal rights of LGBTQ people in Tennessee.  We do this through legislative advocacy.  That means we lobby the Tennessee General Assembly and local governments around the state.  When there is an important federal issue, like bills that include anti-LGBTQ adoption language, we help you make your voice heard with your federal officials.

The New York State Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Health & Human Services Network (The Network) is a coalition founded in 1994 and administered by The Center, consisting of 71 LGBT-specific and LGBT-supportive nonprofit organizations that provide care to LGBT New Yorkers and our families.

Network members support and learn from each other, help build capacity and increase their ability to foster a safer and more supportive state for all LGBT people. For example, recognizing that many transgender clients have varied life experiences—many of which involve a combination of racism, classism and trans- or homophobia—The Network works to improve the quality of resources and care that each organization can offer to this community.

Members of The New York State LGBT Health & Human Services Network serve all of New York State’s 62 counties—including upstate, downstate, rural and urban populations. Organizations are arranged according to the location of their main offices, but many also provide services in other boroughs/regions.

The Fairness Campaign is Kentucky’s LGBTQ advocacy organization founded in 1991 by 10 Louisvillians. Its primary goal is comprehensive civil rights legislation prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and to dismantle systemic racism. With the help of the Fairness Campaign, 22 Kentucky communities and counting have enacted Fairness Ordinances outlawing LGBTQ discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations. Today, the Fairness Campaign works in cities all across Kentucky to advance LGBTQ rights and acceptance through legislative advocacy and public education.

THE LAUREL FOUNDATION IS A COMPREHENSIVE PROVIDER OF EDUCATIONAL AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, TRANSGENDER YOUTH AND OTHER AT-RISK YOUTH POPULATIONS. WE SERVE OVER 500 LOW-INCOME, AT-RISK PARTICIPANTS ANNUALLY.

The Laurel Foundation’s programs tackle the emotional and social challenges at-risk children and youth face by constructing environments that support the mental and physical welfare of the participants. Our programs give participants the tools to build self-sufficient, productive, healthy lives.

The Network/La Red is a survivor-led, social justice organization that works to end partner abuse in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, SM, polyamorous, and queer communities. Rooted in anti-oppression principles, our work aims to create a world where all people are free from oppression. We strengthen our communities through organizing, education, and the provision of support services.

• We help individuals and communities build loving and equitable relationships.

• Our services are survivor-centric. We work with LGBTQ survivors to strengthen their own social networks and actively resist abuse.

• Our roots are in the community. LGBTQ people’s intimate relationships and experiences of victimization have been dismissed as marginal, unnatural or insignificant. As one of only a handful of LGBTQ-specific domestic violence agencies in the United States, we bring the experiences of LGBTQ people to the forefront of our work.

• All participants have the right to support that respects their complex lived experiences and does not value people differently based on their race, color, ethnicity, religion, family structure, sexual or gender identity and expression, national origin, immigration statues, physical or mental health status, disability, physical appearance, substance use, economic status, or engagement in sex work.

• Our direct services are all free and confidential. We also offer resources for organizations and providers working in the field.

The Okra Project is a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans People wherever we can reach them.     

During the Middle Passage, our African ancestors snuck okra onto captive ships to sustain themselves and plant in the new world. Black Diasporic cooking traditions often use the okra plant for its versatility and it is often associated with health, prosperity, and community. In this spirit, The Okra Project hopes to extend free, delicious, and nutritious meals to Black Trans people experiencing food insecurity. 

The Trevor Project is an American nonprofit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates The Trevor Lifeline, a confidential service that offers trained counselors.
