The NCHERM Group is the umbrella for eight linked organizations which serve to advance holistic, proactive prevention and risk management within K-12 schools and on college and university campuses. The NCHERM Group is both a law and consulting practice that has served the education field for more than 15 years. As a law firm, The NCHERM Group represents 35 colleges and universities as outside counsel, making it one of the largest higher education-specific law practices in the country. As a consulting group, The NCHERM Group’s twenty-four consultants have provided services to more than 3,000 clients, giving it unparalleled reach and impact on the field. The Network/La Red is a survivor-led, social justice organization that works to end partner abuse in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, SM, polyamorous, and queer communities. Rooted in anti-oppression principles, our work aims to create a world where all people are free from oppression. We strengthen our communities through organizing, education, and the provision of support services.

The Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies was formed in May 2017 when the two leading Jewish services associations – the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies (AJFCA) and the International Association of Jewish Vocational Services (IAJVS) – joined forces.

The Network is an international membership association of more than 150 non profit human service agencies in the United States, Canada and Israel. Its members provide a full range of human services for the Jewish community and beyond, including healthcare, career, employment and mental health services, as well as programs for youth, families and seniors, Holocaust survivors, immigrants and refugees, persons with disabilities and caregivers.

The Network strives to be the leading voice for the Jewish human service sector. As the go-to resource for advocacy, best practices, innovation and research, partnerships and collaborations, The Network strengthens agencies so they can better serve their communities.

• We help individuals and communities build loving and equitable relationships.

• Our services are survivor-centric. We work with LGBTQ survivors to strengthen their own social networks and actively resist abuse.

• Our roots are in the community. LGBTQ people’s intimate relationships and experiences of victimization have been dismissed as marginal, unnatural or insignificant. As one of only a handful of LGBTQ-specific domestic violence agencies in the United States, we bring the experiences of LGBTQ people to the forefront of our work.

• All participants have the right to support that respects their complex lived experiences and does not value people differently based on their race, color, ethnicity, religion, family structure, sexual or gender identity and expression, national origin, immigration statues, physical or mental health status, disability, physical appearance, substance use, economic status, or engagement in sex work.

• Our direct services are all free and confidential. We also offer resources for organizations and providers working in the field.

The Okra Project is a collective that seeks to address the global crisis faced by Black Trans people by bringing home cooked, healthy, and culturally specific meals and resources to Black Trans People wherever we can reach them.     

During the Middle Passage, our African ancestors snuck okra onto captive ships to sustain themselves and plant in the new world. Black Diasporic cooking traditions often use the okra plant for its versatility and it is often associated with health, prosperity, and community. In this spirit, The Okra Project hopes to extend free, delicious, and nutritious meals to Black Trans people experiencing food insecurity. 

The Peaceful Families Project (PFP) is an initiative devoted to ending domestic violence in Muslim families by facilitating awareness workshops for Muslim leaders and communities, providing cultural sensitivity trainings and technical assistance for professionals, conducting research, and developing resources. 

The PR Health Justice Center (PRHJC) provides comprehensive clinical forensic services to victim survivors of sexual violence. We provide the services at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine through an interdisciplinary work team. This team is comprised of medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, criminal justice, legal and epidemiology experts in their field and sexual violence, while providing the services in a transdisciplinary manner.

The mission of The Rowan Center is to provide counseling and support services to victims of sexual assault and to eliminate sexual violence through community-wide education programs. 

Serving the eight towns of lower Fairfield County since 1979, The Rowan Center provides free, 24-hour confidential support to those who have experienced sexual violence, or know someone who has. Our hotline provides advocates if a victim wants to go to the hospital for an exam, if a victim would like to file a police report, and/or if the victim has to go to any court proceedings. We can also be with the victims as the healing takes place, delivering goal-oriented counseling.

The Rowan Center also provides age and developmentally appropriate awareness and prevention education for K-12 students, colleges, corporations, law enforcement, community organizations, and more. 

The Trevor Project is an American nonprofit organization founded in 1998 focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. Through a toll-free telephone number, it operates The Trevor Lifeline, a confidential service that offers trained counselors.

Since the 1970s, YWCA has provided response programs to victims of sexual assault known as Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS). The YWCA of Hawaiʻi Island is dedicated to changing the beliefs that accompany sexual violence. They seek to create a society that does not minimize sexual crimes, that does not permit the shaming or silencing of the assaulted or hide the crime out of shame – a society where perpetrators are held accountable, mandated for treatment and prevented from offending again.
